38 zip codes served

TCCH’s service area captures 38 zip codes, harboring 669,115 residents, 34% of whom live at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG), establishing a target population of approximately 229,956 low-income, underserved residents.

33,185 patients served in 2021

At their time of service, 45% of TCCH’s 2021 patients were recipients of Medicaid and 20% were Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Workers, thereby substantiating TCCH’s role as a safety net provider to vulnerable populations with limited access to affordable, quality healthcare services.

75% of patients eligible for sliding fee discounts

Of those TCCH patients with known incomes, 75% of these patients live on incomes at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines; therefore, they are eligible to participate in the Sliding Fee Discount Program, which assists patients in meeting their financial obligations, reducing barriers to care.

Our History

The Beginning

Our Community Health Center began as a modest-sized medical clinic in Pasco, Washington, in 1981. The clinic was founded by a small group of women in the Pasco community who saw the need to serve low-income community members who could not afford to pay for health care.

Federally Qualified Health Center Designation

In 1990, the clinic met the requirements to become a designated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), which made the clinic eligible to obtain financial support from the federal and state governments to expand services.

Federally Qualified Health Center Designation

The clinic has evolved into a network of community health centers that now serve a diverse population in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas. The name was officially changed to Tri-Cities Community Health on July 19, 2010 to reflect the diversity of the patients it serves.
