Nickisha Naulie Berlus, MD
As a board-certified family physician with a focus in providing urgent care services to diverse populations, I have been privileged to serve those often marginalized in our communities in order to expand access to high quality primary care. I have managed both acute and chronic medical conditions of patients of all ages with an emphasis on problem-focused visits while still prioritizing health care maintenance and disease prevention. Originally from Haiti, I can still remember what it was like to come to the US without speaking English, struggling with my family to adjust to a new life in Brooklyn, NY in the mid-90s while never forgetting our historic roots. It gives me great joy to care for members of the community whose journeys resemble my own. The history of Tri-Cities Community Health is one of agency, where members of the community saw a dire need and moved to address it. I look forward to joining TCCH in its mission to continue this legacy of partnering with the community to promote high-quality care of the whole person with dignity and respect. I welcome new patients and speak Spanish and Haitian-Creole (Kreyol).
